Kids will love the Moody Family Children’s Museum, where they can climb a miniature Dallas skyline or explore a tiny Dallas Farmers Market. Families can race a life-sized T. rex or a cheetah in the Sports Hall. Additionally, the Discovering Life exhibit offers interactive dioramas to explore nature. From creating virtual birds to experiencing simulated earthquakes, the museum has hands-on activities for everyone. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays and closed on Tuesdays. Located at 2201 N Field St in downtown Dallas, general admission is $15-$25 for non-members.

2. Dallas Museum of Art

  • The Center for Creative Connections (C3) is a 12,000-square-foot space designed for interactive learning, perfect for families. It features the Art Studio, Tech Lab, Theater, and Arturo’s Nest, offering hands-on activities inspired by museum collections. Throughout the year, the museum hosts family-friendly events like Late Nights, with performances and films, and Thursday Night Live, where families can enjoy live jazz and dinner. Additionally, the DMA FREE First Sundays offers free exhibition admission once a month in 2024.
